NCI took part of the discussion on Armenia Anti-Corruption Progress Second Round of Monitoring Report

Yerevan—National Citizens’ Initiative took part of the discussion on Armenia Anti-Corruption Progress Second Round of Monitoring Report adopted recently at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) by the government of Armenia and other countries in the region. The discussion took place at the Eurasia Partnership Foundation office and was organized by EPF, Transparency International Anticorruption Center (TI) and Freedom of Information Center of Armenia (FOICA).

At the meeting the report was presented by Ms. Inese Gaika, Project Manager of Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Anti-Corruption Division, Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs.

The report has been adopted within the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan (IAP), a sub-regional initiative monitoring anti-corruption reforms in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan since 2003 under the OECD Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (OECD ACN), which is one of the regional initiatives of the OECD’s Working Group on Bribery.

Activists, present at the meeting learned more about this leading policy initiative and discussed main findings in the report and its recommendations and how can they support the implementation of these recommendations.
